Applecross Primary School is an accredited Waterwise School as well as an accredited Waste Wise School.  These two programs, in association with the Garden Grubs, encourages and educates our students in the concept of recycling waste products to use a fertilizer and mulch to support the growing of fresh vegetables.  The program also includes animal husbandry with the inclusion of a program aimed at teaching the children to look after chickens. In doing so they maintain a clean, healthy and tidy area for them to live.
