Primary School Science Program

Our science program offers staff and students a wide range of hands-on science activities, enhanced by the use of integrated technologies. Students engage in rich learning experiences within our purpose-built primary science facility, where Science, Technologies, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) are seamlessly combined to deepen their understanding and skills.

We proudly maintain strong partnerships with Water Corp, Scitech, Curtin University, and Applecross Senior High School, providing authentic and engaging opportunities that connect students to real-world science contexts.

Aligned with the Western Australian Science Curriculum, our program enables students to develop a solid grasp of key scientific concepts and processes, understand the methods used to build scientific knowledge, and appreciate science’s role in culture, society, and everyday life. The curriculum supports students in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions about local, national, and global issues.

At the heart of our program is the aim to nurture students’ natural curiosity about the world, inspiring them to explore, ask questions, and form hypotheses regarding their impact on an ever-changing environment. We prioritise scientific inquiry, guiding students through questioning, planning and conducting ethical experiments and investigations, collecting and analysing data, evaluating results, and drawing evidence-based conclusions.
